Established in 1985, Procurement Australia is a business created by the Government for Government by the City of Melbourne and 14 other local Government partners to create an aggregated buying group to source common use goods and services.

Procurement Australia is now one of the nation’s largest buying groups, with over 700 members. By aggregating the buying power of our members, Procurement Australia can attain best value and create collaborative purchasing arrangements.

As an ISO 9001 accredited organisation and obtaining the CIPS Procurement Excellence Standard certification by CIPS Australasia , Procurement Australia is a leader in negotiating and facilitating procurement contracts, working in partnership with buyers and suppliers to seek innovative purchasing solutions.
