Panel discussion: The evolving value proposition  of procurement across today’s business

David Bygrave is the Head of Group Procurement, leading a team of procurement business partners for both Volkswagen Group and Audi Australia.

Volkswagen Group Australia is a wholly owned subsidiary of one of the world’s leading manufacturers of automobiles and commercial vehicles and the largest carmaker in Europe.

David is from a non-conventional background for a procurement professional, originally being from the sales and marketing side of business before making the shift to finance and procurement within his last organisation, Lion Pty Ltd. As a result David brings to the procurement, space a differing perspective and view. He is passionate around elevating his team’s abilities in internal business partnering to become a more strategic orientated function. In doing, so reshaping perceptions of what procurement’s role is within the business.

Originally, from New Zealand, David moved to Australia around 4 years ago to work in procurement roles across both the FMCG and Automotive industries.
