Global Manager Procurement, The Fred Hollows Foundation

 

Tanya Harris is a sustainable sourcing and procurement professional with 15+ years in the private and development sectors. At The Fred Hollows Foundation, working in 25 countries, Tanya leads the strategic sustainable procurement function, acting as an advisor to The Foundation’s international offices direct procurement activities and to key partners from all levels of government to strengthen existing health systems through more efficient, equitable and sustainable procurement outcomes.

She also moonlights as specialist support to innovative social impact financing projects and gender equality initiatives, and a member of the Commonwealth government Business Services Industry Reference Committee reviewing national training packages (there is now an ethical procurement unit of competence!).

Tanya also represented ACFID (Australian Council for International Development) on the Australian Technical Committee, participating at international meetings over the development and negotiation of the now published Sustainable Procurement ISO 20400:2017.
